Ministry of Health recommends closing schools

The Ministry of Health and Population has recommended closing schools and other congested areas as coronavirus infections are likely to increase.

For the past few months, students have been physically attending school and campus.

The ministry said it was taking precautionary measures against the second wave of coronavirus epidemics that could spread further.

"Schools should be closed now. If you want to read, you have to do it online,” said a spokesman for the Ministry of Health. Jageshwar Gautam told Setopati, "Health standards should be fully followed."

He said that the ministry has recommended closing cinema halls, restaurants, and party palaces in other crowded areas including schools.

"We have recommended to the CCMC to close the school and other facilities," he said. "The decision was taken on Wednesday and sent to the CCMC."

Lately, the daily infection of the corona has been increasing in Nepal. Corona infection was confirmed in 332 people in Nepal on Thursday.
