March 13, Kathmandu. Gyanendra Malla, captain of Nepal’s national cricket team, has been appointed as the chief advisor of sports of Rajarshi Gurukul. Rajarshi Gurukul announced the appointment through a program on Thursday. A memorandum of understanding was signed between Rajarshi Gurukul Schools’s Chairman Mr. Rajesh Chaudhary and cricketer Gyanendra Malla at the program.
The principal of Rajarshi Gurukul Leon Shrestha and member of Nepal Cricket Association (CAN) Chhumbi Lama were also present on the occasion. Rajarshi providing world–class service in education said that “a sport is also a major part of its curriculum”.
Mr. Dinesh Bhushal, Director of Rajarshi Gurukul, said that he has signed a MoU with Gyanendra as a sports advisor. Mr. Bhusal further clarified that Malla will be overseeing and guiding the sports activities of the school said he is excited to have Mr. Malla in the Rajarshi family. He also said that the students are also excited about it.
