Some days back we had mentioned about the courses in Bachelors’ program and Scholarship at College of Applied Business. So, today, let us get to know more about it.

Founded in the year 1998, College of Applied Business also known as CAB in short has been able to generate 2000+ graduates in these years. Holding its objective as providing to the Nation, Graduates and Knowledge Vision, the College focuses on towards overall development of the nation by making the fresh graduates to have good morals, values and surplus knowledge for the betterment of the society.

Located at Gangahity, Chabahil; Kathmandu, the College has Bachelors’ level courses which include BBA, BIM, BBS and BScCSIT. Besides Bachelors’ level program, CAB is also running 10+2 program in Management stream. The courses are affliated to Tribhuvan University and HSEB of Nepal respectively. Besides that, the college has also signed a Transfer Credit Agreement with The State University of New York (SUNY) at Plattsburgh where if any student of CAB would like to transfer their credit then they could credit it at SUNY for up to 60 Cr/Hrs.

The College furthermore has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with University of West, California as to which any graduate can complete their Bachelors’ and Masters’ level in just five years’ time duration. Moreover, the College also provides with Scholarships for deserving students as per the University and College’s criteria for Bachelors’ level program. Since it has become a member of AMIDSA, you can even get accessible to COVID Education Loan quite well.

Besides academics, the College also has a student council which is managed by the students. The College is further planning on to conduct competitions such as software development competitions in the following year. The other infrastructure facilities include Computer labs with internet facilities as well as open access to Wi-Fi inside the College premises free of charge, library filled with course books, reference books, professional journals, research works, etc. Besides that, the College has a canteen and sports are maintained by student council occasionally which mostly includes basketball, table tennis and badminton. Besides that, the College has introduced a Virtual classroom known as iLearn which facilitates students to receive/ submit assignments, go through lectures and read course both when inside and/or outside the College.

Now talking about the eligibility criteria of the College for admissions, for BBS, BIM and BScCSIT the candidate must have scored at least C+ or 55% marks in 10+2 aggregate or related degree, for BBA the candidate must have secured at least 60% in aggregate or course equivalent. For BScCSIT, the candidate should have taken Science in 10+2 program or equivalent whereas for other courses, you can have either Science or Management or related degree.

Regarding the Uniform, the college has its Uniform and the student has to carry an Identity card issued by the college. Besides that, the students should meet at least 80% attendance in every subject to qualify for the final examinations.
